This is a 50mm to 1.5″ adaptor bush
This part allows a 1.5″ pipe to be glued into a 50mm fitting
There is around 1mm difference between 50mm and 1.5″ pipe (where 50mm is around 1mm larger than 1.5″)
This bush is around 1mm thick and takes up the slack to allow a 1.5″ pipe to be glued into a 50mm fitting
eg to allow 1.5″ pool pipe to be glued into a 50mm union outlet on a heat pump
