ASIN Aqua Chlorine & PH Automatic Pool Dosing System

1. Description

The ASIN Aqua automatic pool dosing systems provide an easy to use touch-screen dosing system at a very low cost.

They can be used for private or small commercial swimming pools with a water volume up to 250m3 (the optional free chlorine probe should be used for commercial pools)

They have a touch screen display with simple and clear operation, whilst measuring and regulating the chlorine and pH levels in your pool.

This is an automatic dosing system which can be used for indoor or outdoor pools.

The system constantly monitors the level of chlorine and pH in the pool and adds the required amounts of chemicals to maintain the pool at the desired levels.

It has an easy to use touch screen control panel, which allows you to set the desired level and monitor the current levels of chlorine and pH in the pool.

The flow switch prevents the unit from dosing the pool when the pool circulation pump is turned off and there is no flow of water to the probes.

The ASIN Aqua system doses liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) to increase the free chlorine level and acid (sulphuric acid) to lower the pH

The ASIN Aqua is available as four models:-

1. ASIN Aqua Redox – Redox based system, non internet enabled
2. ASIN Aqua Free Chlorine (CLF) – with Free Chlorine probe, non internet enabled model
3. ASIN Aqua Redox Net – Redox based system, internet enabled
4. ASIN Aqua Free Chlorine (CLF) Net – with Free Chlorine probe, internet enabled model

2. ASIN Aqua NET Features

The ASIN Aqua NET models allow the user to  look at the data from the pool in real time from your mobile device, allowing you to set notifications for set parameters. This data can be viewed for a 30 day period using the iPool app or web browser.

This allows remote monitoring of your pool chlorine, pH and temperature levels via either an app on a smartphone or via an internet web browser

The IPool Live App is available free of charge to all ASIN Aqua NET users.

The app allows the user to remotely monitor the levels of chlorine and pH for the pool

Alerts can also be set so that if the chlorine or pH fall below or above a set level, an alert is sent to warn the operator.

This data can be viewed for a 30 day period using the iPool app or web browser.

This log of chlorine and pH levels is valuable for commercial pools as they are required to keep an accurate record of the chlorine levels (in ppm)

If you do not have an internet connection where the ASIN Aqua will be located, an easy solution is to use a pair of powerline adaptors. One of the plugs goes into a socket in the pool plant room. The other plug goes next to the wifi router in the house.

An Ethernet cable is then connected from the powerline adaptor to the router and the ASIN AQUA to deliver internet connectivity.

3. Redox Probe

The ASIN Aqua pH/Redox model comes complete with probes to measure the chlorine and pH levels

With the redox model, the amount of chlorine in the pool is displayed in a mV reading on the screen.

By setting the desired mV value, the ASIN Aqua will add liquid chlorine to the pool to maintain the chlorine level at the desired value.

4. Free Chlorine Probe

As an alternative to the redox probe for chlorine control, a free chlorine probe is available with the free chlorine (CLF) models

The free chlorine probe displays the actual amount of chlorine in ppm (parts per million) e.g. 1.2 ppm

The free chlorine probe is normally required for commercial pools as they are required to keep a log of the actual free chlorine levels in ppm (parts per million)

Note that when using the free chlorine (CLF) probe, the pool water must not contain any stabiliser (cyanuric acid) as this affects the operation of the CLF probe. The redox probe is unaffected by stabiliser (cyanuric acid)

5. PH Probe

The pH probe accurately measure the pH level of the pool water so that the system can add acid to adjust the pH level as required.

Note that in 2022, the probes were moved to be on the outside of the ASIN Aqua case in probe holders. In 2022 and before, the probes were installed into holes in the body of the ASIN Aqua case, hence some photos on this page may show both types. The operation of the unit remains unchanged.

• Plastic hose to deliver the chemical from the tank to the dosing unit and the pool pipe
• 2 x weights to go on the end of hoses in chemical containers

• Water temperature sensor (with 2.8m cable) and pocket are included with the Net models

8. Installation

Installation is straight forward.

A pipe fitting (e.g. an elbow) is drilled and tapped so that the chemical injection nozzles can be screwed into the pipe

9. Chemical Bund Tanks

We recommend that you purchase two “bund” tanks

These allow the standard 20 and 25 litre containers of liquid chlorine and acid to simply be placed inside the bund tank

This makes it very easy to swap the containers when they are empty

The bund tank is designed to hold all of the 20 or 25 litres of pool chemical should the container leak or split.

The bund tank then prevents the chemical from spreading over the floor of the pool plant room which could cause damage to the equipment in the plant room.

We have two types of bund tank available:-

1. Rectangular bund tank (without the raised back)
2. Carboy bund tanks (with a raised back)

Rectangular Bund Tanks

The rectangular bund tanks measure 210mm high x 300mm wide x 500mm deep

Carboy Bund Tanks

The carboy bund tanks have a raised back

These bund tanks should be placed on the floor whenever possible side by side.

One bund tank contains sulphiric acid and the other contains liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite)

The dimensions of the Carboy bund tanks are 300mm wide x 440mm deep x 600mm high each

10. Water Temperature Sensor

A water temperature sensor/thermometer is included with the Net models This then displays the current pool temperature on the smart phone app and web browser.

It comes with the temperature sensor and also a threaded pocket to hold the sensor. This pocket can be used with the threaded end-cap (see below)

(Note: This is compatible with the Net versions only)

The sensor has a cable which is approx 2.8m long

11. Optional Items

Remote Touch Screen Display

A remote digital display is available which can be installed inside the pool hall of an indoor pool to show the current chlorine, pH levels and pool water temperature

The levels can also be adjusted from the touch screen if required.

(Note: This is compatible with the Net versions only)

External touch screen. Suitable for ASIN AQUA Net, Home, Oxygen, Salt and Profi (non-touch version).

Allows to control some directly from the pool area:
– switch on / off the filter pump
– switch on / off filter backwash (some models)
– change required values ​​(pH, disinfection, required water temperature)
– Display can be locked with a password

Threaded End cap for Injection Nozzles

An end cap is available to allow easy installation of the injector nozzles and the water temperature sensor pocket  into existing pipework.

We have two sizes available for 50mm and 1.5″ pool pipe

The end cap is glued into a t-piece and the injector or sensor pocket screwed into the end cap

The end caps fit a 50mm glue pipe socket.

End Cap for 1.5″ Pool Pipe

We sell a threaded end cap to fit on 1.5″ pool pipe. This comes with an adaptor to allow the ASEKO injectors and water valves to be screwed into them

Drill and Tap for Injectors

We also sell a drill and tap set to allow you to drill and tap the correct thread into a pool pipe fitting (eg elbow)

14. Warranty

The probes come with a 2-year warranty.

We recommend that you retain the packaging in case you need to return the unit to us for repairs under the warranty. 

The warranty will not apply where the dosing system has been installed incorrectly, or has been damaged by installation, so please advise of any problems as soon as possible.
