HeatPumps4Pools are acting as a broker to sell a second hand Heatstar Orion 100 Super Plus unit on behalf of its owner.
The Heatstar Orion is designed for indoor pools and is “an all in one” type unit.
It provides water heating, air heating and dehumidification from one combined unit.
It was purchased around 12-yrs ago in 2003 and is in excellent condition. It has been serviced and is in full working order.
It is being sold due to the pool room being converted into a granny annex.
The Orion uses a heat pump to dehumidify the pool room air and recover heat from it.
It complies with the current building regulations and so can be used for new pools or replacement in existing pools
It requires a boiler as a heat source for the air heating and pool water heating.
The boiler would need to be about 20kw.
A grille is required in the pool room to distribute the dehumidified air.
The unit has 1.5″ pipe connections
It comes with the connecting hose/ducting
It has full digital controls.

The dimensions are 1590 x 625 x 745mm (h x l x w) and it weights 112kg
The unit can provide dehumidification of around 4.1 litres/hr and can output 18kw of heat into the pool room air.
The heat exchanger provides about 20kw of heat to the pool water and it needs a boiler of around 20kw
This is a single phase unit and needs a 22A supply/breaker
There is a 22mm copper connection for the hot water supply from the external boiler (boiler not supplied)
It was used to heat a pool with a surface area of 26m2 and a pool hall volume of 235m3
It is in excellent condition and can be inspected before purchase.
